A Figma board where the collaborators are your coding agents

What it does

Agor is a shared spatial canvas — think Figma, but the objects are git branches. Each branch is a unit of work with its own isolated worktree, dev environment, conversations, and PR. Coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, OpenCode, Copilot) run sessions on those branches, and your team gets live cursors, facepiles, and scoped comments on the same board. It ships as a CLI plus a React web UI talking to a FeathersJS daemon, with everything stored locally under ~/.agor/.

The interesting bit

The agents aren’t just tenants — they drive the platform itself. Agor exposes an internal MCP server, so anything a human can do in the UI, an agent can do too, and sessions are auto-issued MCP tokens. Drop a branch into a “zone” on the board and it fires a templated prompt, turning canvas geography into orchestration.

• Session trees — fork conversations to explore alternatives, spawn subsessions for subtasks

• Slack and GitHub act as gateways into Agor sessions; per-prompt token and dollar accounting in the chat UI
• Self-hosted: your repos, your database (LibSQL or Postgres), your isolation posture

Caveats

• True multi-user Unix isolation is still on the roadmap, so multi-tenancy hardening isn’t there yet
• IDE integration (VSCode, Cursor via SSH/Remote) is planned, not shipped
• The agent SDK integrations admittedly lag behind what the underlying CLIs can do natively

Verdict

Worth a look if your team is juggling multiple coding agents and wants a shared, observable workspace instead of scattered terminal tabs. Solo developers with one agent and one editor will find it oversized.
