openai/tunnel-client
Customer-run Go client that tunnels private or localhost MCP servers to OpenAI-hosted products via the Secure MCP Tunnel.

tunnel-client is a Go daemon that runs on the customer’s side of an OpenAI-hosted MCP tunnel endpoint. It connects a private or localhost Model Context Protocol server to ChatGPT, Codex, the Responses API, and AgentKit without exposing the MCP server to the public internet. The client exposes health, readiness, metrics, and UI endpoints for operators, and supports deployment on laptops, VMs, or Kubernetes clusters. It implements the Secure MCP Tunnel protocol and is intended to be paired with OpenAI’s hosted tunnel service.
