Your coding agents, now with a switchboard

What it does

Paseo is a local daemon and client ecosystem that wraps multiple coding-agent CLIs into one interface. You install the agent tools you already use—Claude Code, Codex, Copilot, OpenCode, Pi—and Paseo exposes them through desktop, mobile, web, and terminal clients running against your own machine.

The interesting bit

The “Skills” layer turns agents into meta-orchestrators: a single conversation can hand off work between providers, loop an agent against acceptance criteria, or spin up a two-agent “committee” for root-cause analysis. It is essentially glue code, but glue code that treats agent-swapping as a first-class workflow rather than a shell alias.

Caveats

• You must already have and configure each agent CLI yourself; Paseo does not bundle them
• Self-hosted relays default to unencrypted ws://; TLS requires manual nginx or equivalent setup

Verdict

Worth a look if you juggle multiple AI agents and want a single pane of glass—especially from a phone. Skip it if you are committed to one provider’s native workflow and do not need cross-device access.
