What it does

DeepSeek Harness Studio is an Electron desktop client for the DeepSeek Harness agent framework. It bundles the web interface and a local service, then adds native workspace management, a visual plugin marketplace, and preset agent workflows. The idea is to let you browse, install, and orchestrate AI plugins and local model backends without leaving the GUI.

The interesting bit

The plugin discovery flow is unusually thoughtful: describe what you want in plain language—say, a desktop pet—and an onboard Agent will search the public dsh-plugin registry, rank candidates, and hand back exact package names and compatibility notes before you ever click install. It is essentially an app store where the storefront itself is an agent.

• The app is explicitly at release-candidate stage (0.1.0-rc.18), so expect rough edges and incomplete entries for roadmap items like MCP Server management.

Worth downloading if you want a graphical control plane for DeepSeek agents and a managed plugin ecosystem without CLI wrangling. Skip it if you need Linux support, production stability, or prefer to script your agent stack directly.
