What it does Waku is a native desktop app built in Rust that corrals a growing list of command-line coding agents—Claude Code, Codex, Cursor CLI, Grok Build, and others—into one interface. It detects which agent CLIs you have installed, talks to each through its native protocol, and keeps projects, sessions, and transcripts entirely on your machine.

The interesting bit Built with GPUI—the same Rust framework that powers Zed—it feels like a real native app rather than another browser shell. You can queue follow-up messages while an agent is still running, tweak reasoning effort mid-session, and rewind Git-backed tasks using conversation-aware checkpoints.
