This repository provides a PyTorch implementation of ASTER (Attentional Scene Text Recognizer), a deep learning model for scene text recognition. It uses an attention-based encoder-decoder architecture with a rectification mechanism that transforms skewed or distorted text images before recognition. The project includes training scripts, evaluation benchmarks on standard datasets (IIIT5k, SVT, IC03, IC13, IC15, SVTP, CUTE), and pre-trained models.
