A Brazilian data science curriculum, no paywall attached
A curated, Portuguese-language roadmap and resource index for breaking into data science without breaking the bank.

What it does
This is a community-curated reference guide for data science careers, built by Brazilian streamer Téo Me Why. It maps out a skill dependency graph — Python basics → Pandas → statistics → machine learning → Spark — and links each node to free Twitch/YouTube courses, book recommendations, and a Google Sheets study planner. The entire suggested course sequence is free except for one capstone project.
The interesting bit
The Mermaid dependency graph is the quiet star: it turns the usual “learn these 47 things” overwhelm into a navigable DAG. Click a node, jump to that section. The spreadsheet study planner is a nice touch for the self-directed learner who needs structure without a bootcamp invoice.
Key highlights
- Seven-course suggested track from Git basics through a full churn-prediction ML project
- Heavy lean toward free content: 6 of 7 core courses cost nothing; only the final capstone requires membership
- Curated book lists per topic (statistics gets 9 titles; machine learning gets 5)
- Brazilian Portuguese throughout — a rarity in a field drowning in English-only resources
- Companion repos for hands-on courses (Pandas, web scraping, ML)
Caveats
- Most course links point to Twitch collections, which can be ephemeral; no mirror guarantees
- The “Blogs & Sites” section appears truncated in the README
- Amazon affiliate links throughout (clearly marked, but present)
Verdict
Worth bookmarking if you’re a Portuguese-speaking beginner mapping a self-study path, or an instructor looking for open curriculum models. Skip it if you need interactive exercises or credentialing — this is a signpost, not a school.
