This repository hosts the first published survey paper in the field of LLM-based autonomous agents, accepted by Frontiers of Computer Science. The survey systematically examines essential agent components including profile, memory, planning, and action modules. It further reviews applications of LLM-based agents across natural sciences, social sciences, and engineering, and discusses both subjective and objective evaluation strategies for the field.
