What it does

CodexHost is a shim that turns OpenAI’s Codex Desktop into a multi-agent workspace. It uses CDP and Electron Inspector to inject agent selection into the official app, then routes your commands to Pi, Claude Code, Grok Build, DeepSeek Harness, or Oh My Pi through their native interfaces. You keep Codex Desktop’s UI; the harnesses supply the brains.

The interesting bit

Instead of flattening every backend behind a generic protocol like ACP, CodexHost projects each harness’s native streaming, tool states, diffs, and approval flows directly into Codex Desktop’s existing chrome. When you delegate a task to another agent, it spins up an independent Native Session so they can work in parallel without hijacking your main thread.
