Claude SEO is a plugin for Claude Code that runs 25 sub-skills and 18 parallel agents across technical SEO, content quality, schema markup, local search, e-commerce, and AI-search optimization. You type /seo audit https://example.com and it fans out to check Core Web Vitals, E-E-A-T signals, Schema.org validity, backlink profiles, hreflang setup, and whether your content is actually citable by AI overviews. The output is a prioritized action plan, not a vague scorecard.

The interesting bit

The methodology is deliberately adversarial. Every recommendation must include the first-principle observation it rests on, its dependencies, and an explicit “how would we know this failed?” check with a leading indicator. It’s the rare SEO tool that treats its own advice as a hypothesis to be tested, not gospel to be invoiced. The project also tracks which Schema.org types Google has actually deprecated—HowTo, SpecialAnnouncement, ClaimReview, etc.—and refuses to recommend them, which is more diligence than most commercial tools show.

Verdict

SEO agencies managing multiple client sites and in-house leads who need defensible pre-meeting audits will get the most value. If you just want a one-click Lighthouse score, this is overbuilt; if you want to hand a client a prioritized plan where every item can be verified as failed or fixed, this is built for that conversation.
