This is a now-deprecated Matlab/Octave toolbox for deep learning that includes implementations of Deep Belief Networks, Convolutional Neural Networks, Stacked Autoencoders, Convolutional Autoencoders, and standard Feedforward Neural Networks. The toolbox was designed to provide example implementations of deep hierarchical learning methods, inspired by the layered architecture of the human brain. While it is no longer maintained, it served as an early educational resource for understanding deep learning concepts before modern frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch emerged.
