What it does

Quotio is a native macOS menu bar application that manages CLIProxyAPI, a local proxy server sitting between your AI coding agents and their providers. It centralizes authentication and request routing for tools like Claude Code, Codex CLI, and OpenCode across nine different AI services. A built-in dashboard tracks per-account token usage and success rates in real time, while a standalone quota mode lets you check limits without spinning up the proxy.

The interesting bit

Instead of configuring API keys inside every CLI tool, you authenticate once in Quotio and let it handle failover between accounts using Round Robin or Fill First strategies. It can even auto-detect and rewire compatible agents to talk through the proxy, which is the kind of glue-code convenience that saves an afternoon of YAML archaeology.
