A board meeting of AI advisors who argue instead of nod
Roast Room seats twelve advisor simulations — built from their public work — around a table in Claude Code to debate your business decision and score a verdict.

What it does
You bring a business decision — pricing, hiring, a bet on a new direction — and a council of AI advisors debates it in rounds, then hands you a scored verdict and a PDF. Twelve advisors ship with it, from Bezos and Buffett to Codie Sanchez and Elon Musk, each built from that person’s public essays, letters, talks, and interviews. A local web app shows them as cartoon portraits around a table, talking it through as the council runs.
The interesting bit
Each seat is a Claude Code sub-agent reading its own “brain” — frameworks, positions, and verbatim quotes compiled from public sources, with every quote tied to a citation. The Chair deliberately keeps one seat that guards your downside and one that’s likely to disagree, and it forces a real argument when everyone agrees too fast. The room itself makes no AI calls; it just replays what the Chair writes to disk.
Key highlights
- Twelve advisors, each owning one pillar: strategy, pricing, marketing, hiring, operations, capital, and more
- The Chair recommends a council per question; you confirm, or set it to auto
/newroasterbuilds new advisors from any public figure’s body of work — or your own notes — with quote verification against sources--quickmode (four seats, two rounds) for smaller, reversible calls- Three finished example sessions ship with the repo, so you can watch one before running your own
Caveats
- A full seven-seat council is 21 sub-agent runs — a real bite out of your Claude plan’s usage
- Building a new advisor’s cartoon portrait needs a separate kie.ai API key; without it you get a placeholder face
- These are simulations, not the people — the README is explicit that none of them endorse the project
Verdict
Worth a look if you already pay for Claude Code and want structured, adversarial pushback on a decision instead of one chatbot agreeing with you. If you don’t live in the Claude ecosystem, this is a lot of machinery to adopt for advice you could get from a spreadsheet and a friend who disagrees with you.
