This research project implements a deep learning system for image colorization, originally built on Caffe and later ported to PyTorch. It provides both a standalone algorithm and an interactive GUI where users can guide the colorization process through local hints. The system was published at SIGGRAPH 2017 and represents a practical application of computer vision and deep learning to automatic colorization tasks.
