Coral NPU is an open-source neural processing unit designed for ML inference acceleration on edge devices. It implements a four-stage RISC-V based processor with matrix, vector (SIMD), and scalar execution units, optimized for deep-learning workloads. The accelerator targets ultra-low-power SoCs for wearables like AR glasses, smart watches, and hearables.
