This project provides a turn-key solution for faking webcam backgrounds on Linux. It uses Mediapipe selfie segmentation and TensorFlow Lite models to detect and segment people from video frames, then applies effects such as background blur, color mapping, hologram, or custom images. The processed video is exposed as a virtual webcam device (v4l2loopback) so it can be used with any video conferencing software.
