One window for every coding agent you're already running
PandaCode is a native Tauri desktop shell that runs Claude Code, Codex, Grok and a dozen other agent CLIs side by side, with Git, a terminal and a browser built in.

What it does It’s a desktop workspace — macOS, Windows and Linux — that wraps the coding-agent CLIs you already have installed: Claude Code, Codex, Kimi, Copilot CLI, Grok Build, DeepSeek, Cline, Devin and more, via a mix of direct integration, ACP, and per-tool protocols. Each agent runs as a task on a board (Pending → In progress → Review → Completed), with per-task worktrees, diffs, approvals in a slim bar above the prompt, and a built-in browser and terminal. It’s built with Tauri 2, Rust, SQLite and plain TypeScript, using the OS webview — no bundled Chromium, no resident Node server, no embedded editor engine.
The interesting bit Agent teams: an architect plus up to three workers, mixing harnesses and models, with a local model router that picks each worker’s model in ~10–25 ms without sending the task anywhere — and escalates to a stronger model when a worker fails. Also, bots: put an agent behind Telegram, Slack, Discord or WhatsApp, and each conversation is just an ordinary task thread.
Key highlights
- Per-task harness, model and reasoning-effort switching from the composer
- Cloud agents on ~13 providers (Daytona, Cloudflare, AWS, Modal, Vercel Sandbox…), with runs surviving laptop sleep and changes landing in a local worktree
- Local VMs (Tart on Apple silicon) and iOS/Android simulators agents can drive
- GitHub view: review, fix checks, merge or solve an issue in one click, via
gh - No accounts, no telemetry; data in local SQLite, keys in the OS-appropriate secret store; a single switch applies every vendor’s agent-telemetry opt-outs
Caveats
- The license is MIT plus one addition: commercial or public forks must credit PandaCode and link the repo — fine for users, worth knowing before forking.
- It’s a lot of surface area (deploys, bots, cloud agents, simulators); the README doesn’t say how battle-tested the long tail is.
- A handful of optional features do phone out (update checks, push notifications, the Connect relay), though each is documented and opt-in.
Verdict If you juggle multiple agent CLIs across projects and want diffs, worktrees and approvals in one native app instead of a pile of terminals, this is squarely for you. If you’re a one-harness person, it’s probably more workspace than you need.
