PanelCleaner uses trained ML models to identify text within manga speech bubbles, then generates precise masks to cover detected text. The pipeline visualizes detection boxes, expands masks to catch nearby artifacts, and applies border denoising for clean results. It outputs either transparent mask layers or cleaned images with the mask applied, intended to reduce manual cleanup work for scanlation projects.
