What it does

OpenSRE is a framework for building AI agents that respond to production incidents. It connects to your existing observability stack—Datadog, Grafana, CloudWatch, Kubernetes, whatever—and runs structured investigations when alerts fire. The agent fetches correlated signals, reasons across them, generates a root-cause report, and can post summaries to Slack or PagerDuty. You can run it as an interactive REPL or deploy it as a persistent service.

The project treats incident response as a reinforcement-learning problem that needs its own benchmark. It ships synthetic test suites with scored root-cause analysis, adversarial red herrings, and end-to-end scenarios across real cloud infrastructure (EC2, Lambda, ECS, Flink).
