YuLan-Chat is a chat-based large language model developed from scratch by researchers at Renmin University of China. It undergoes pre-training on high-quality English, Chinese, and multilingual data, followed by supervised fine-tuning using curriculum learning with English and Chinese instruction data and human preference data. The model is aligned for helpfulness, honesty, and harmlessness, and supports a 4k context window.
