A coarse-to-fine diffusion framework for generating lighting-less 2K UV texture maps on 3D meshes from text or image conditions.

Paint3D addresses the challenge of generating high-quality textures without embedded illumination, enabling textures to be re-lit or re-edited in graphics pipelines. It uses a depth-aware 2D diffusion model for multi-view texture fusion, followed by specialized UV inpainting and UVHD diffusion models to refine incomplete areas and remove illumination artifacts. The result is semantic-consistent, lighting-free textures suitable for modern rendering workflows.
