What it does

This is an unofficial fork of YuJunZhiXue’s dsh-purge, a red-team evaluation plugin for the official DeepSeek Harness installed on your own machine. The fork’s whole job is compatibility: it targets DSH 0.2.1-rc.2, swaps in a stronger prompt kernel, rebuilds the settings-page UI, and fixes a handful of silent failures the original left behind. It does not change what the plugin fundamentally does — separate host-layer policy blocks from actual model refusals, so you can evaluate which default policy is too tight.

The interesting bit

The changelog reads like honest bug forensics: 1.4.1 fixes a crash from an unregistered {{cwd}} variable, 1.4.2 deletes an entire rewind feature (82 patches down to 79), and 1.4.4 fixes two failures where .bak backups silently never happened and an unhandled rejection could kill the host. It also borrows an approval tier, audit trail, and strict JSON boundary from another plugin (Minglink/dsh-infinite-gen-5), with scope documented in NOTICE.md.

Key highlights

  • Supports both the official Web (dsh web) and the desktop EXE, as separate profiles
  • Reapplies itself after npm overwrites node_modules — no hand-editing files
  • Restore / Uninstall paths, plus a drill console gated behind authorization
  • Everything stays local: it only touches @deepseek-ai packages and local config, not third-party systems
  • MIT licence kept verbatim, with attribution requirements and a non-commercial term carried over from upstream

Caveats

  • Upstream is paused (no releases, issues/PRs closed); the fork maintainer promises no long-term tracking, and says to prefer upstream if it resumes
  • The README is unusually heavy on legal disclaimers, piracy complaints against a Douyin seller, and sponsor wallets — a lot of context for a compatibility fork
  • Older DSH builds need matching older plugin versions; this one is strictly 0.2.x

Verdict

Worth a look if you already run dsh-purge on DSH 0.2.1-rc.2 and hit install or UI breakage — this fork exists precisely for you. If you’re not doing authorized red-team work on your own Harness install, move along.
