HuatuoGPT is a specialized LLM trained on extensive Chinese medical corpus to provide professional medical consultation. The project releases 7B and 13B model weights built on base models Baichuan-7B and Ziya-LLaMA-13B respectively, along with hybrid SFT training data and a medical evaluation benchmark. Published at EMNLP 2023, the system aims to create doctor-like AI that balances professional medical knowledge with patient-friendly communication.
