What it does

NoFWL is a cross-platform desktop application for ChatGPT, built in Rust. It wraps the ChatGPT experience in a native window for macOS, Windows, and Linux, letting you plug in your own OpenAI API key. All data is stored locally on your machine.

The interesting bit

The project is explicitly positioned as the successor to the author’s earlier lencx/ChatGPT desktop app, though the current feature set is still fairly minimal. The README promises it will outdo its predecessor, but the shipping reality so far is light/dark/system themes, English/Chinese language support, and local data storage—everything else lives on a lengthy TODO list.
