A dropdown menu for art history, with pictures
ComfyUI node pack that replaces cryptic prompt names with actual preview images so you can see what "Picasso" or "Kodachrome" looks like before generating.

What it does
This is a set of custom nodes for ComfyUI that turn prompt selection into a visual browsing experience. Instead of typing artist names or film stock blindly, you pick from thumbnail grids—280 artists, 138 art movements, 115 media styles, 83 film types, and 47 camera lenses. The node outputs the corresponding prompt string with an adjustable weight slider, e.g. (Picasso:1.03).
The interesting bit
The author generated the entire reference library personally using SDXL 1.0, curating down from 5,000+ artist tests by Rikkar. It’s essentially a human-filtered lookup table where every entry has been visually validated—no guessing whether “Giger” means HR Giger or your uncle’s Facebook photos.
Key highlights
- 663 total reference images across five categories, all bundled in the repo
- Weight adjustment via slider rather than manual syntax wrangling
- Custom images can be dropped into
img_listsfolders to extend categories - Includes SD3 artist test comparisons (272 artists) and SDXL-vs-SD3 benchmarks
- NSFW content was explicitly removed from the movement category
Caveats
- Reference images are compressed to reduce load times, which may obscure fine detail
- SD3 and comparison galleries are marked as “陆续更新” (gradually updating), so completeness is unclear
- Requires ComfyUI restart(s) to display preview images correctly on first install
Verdict
Worth a look if you generate images in ComfyUI but can’t tell your Bauhaus from your Baroque. Skip it if you already have a photographic memory of 500+ artists and their SDXL rendering quirks.
