This repository implements Medical Diffusion, a denoising diffusion probabilistic model for 3D medical image synthesis. It uses a three-dimensional VQ-GAN to learn a latent space representation of medical images, then trains a diffusion model in that latent space to generate new synthetic images. The approach is applied to medical imaging datasets including BraTS (brain MRI) and handles CT scans as well.
