A job-hunt copilot that refuses to lie on your resume

What it does Dossier keeps your whole career history in one profile, then for each job posting you paste in, it extracts the requirements, scores them against your profile, and drafts a tailored resume and cover letter. You refine the drafts in a chat, export PDFs, and track every application on a board from draft to offer. It also searches postings (JSearch, Adzuna, YC startups, HN “Who is hiring?”), drafts the accompanying email, and can sync interviews with Google Calendar.

The interesting bit The AI is explicitly constrained: drafts only use facts from your profile, and anything the posting asks for that you lack is shown as a gap rather than invented. That’s a rare design decision — most LLM resume tools are happy to embellish. It’s also built for exactly one person on a small server, with a local model via Ollama or LM Studio so your data never leaves your hardware.

Verdict Worth a look if you’re job hunting and want an AI assistant that stays on your server and on your résumé’s good side. Skip it if you need multi-user or a hosted SaaS experience.
